WELCOME TO THE DESERT’S MOST EXCITING CITY

Welcome to Dubai, city of merchants, cultural crossroads, second largest of the seven United Arab Emirates. A country where the dust of the desert is clearing to reveal the potential for one of the most significant international cities of the 21st century.

Dubai (in Arabic: دبيّ, Dubayy, /dʊ'baɪ/ in English) refers to either: One of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates on the Persian Gulf, or that emirate's main city, sometimes called "Dubai City" to distinguish it from the emirate.Dubai is the most populous and second largest emirate of the United Arab Emirates after Abu Dhabi. Dubai is distinct from other members of the UAE in that revenues from oil account for only 6% of its gross domestic product. A majority of the emirate's revenues are from the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ)[2] and, increasingly, from tourism.
With enormous construction and development in various industries, Dubai has attracted world-wide attention through innovative real estate projects, sports events, conferences and
Guinness records. However, this increased attention, coinciding with its emergence as a world business hub, has also highlighted potential human rights issues concerning its largely immigrant workforce.

History
The earliest recorded mention of Dubai is in 1095 AD, in the Arabic book "Mojam Ma Ostojam men Asmae Al belaad wal Mawadhea" (معجم ما استعجم من أسماء البلاد والمواضع) by Abdullah Bin Abdu Aziz Al Bakri Al Andalasi. He refers to 'Dubai' as a vast place. Later, in 1587 AD, the
Venetian pearl merchant Gaspero Balbi mentions the name of Dubai as one of the places where Venetians worked, diving for pearls.
There are records of the town of Dubai from 1799. Earlier in the 18th century the Al Abu Falasa lineage of
Bani Yas clan established itself in Dubai which was a dependent of the settlement of Abu Dhabi until 1833.
On
8 January 1820, the sheikh of Dubai was a signatory to the British sponsored "General Treaty of Peace" (the General Maritime Treaty).
In 1833, the
Al Maktoum dynasty of the Bani Yas tribe left the settlement of Abu Dhabi and took over the town of Dubai, "without resistance". From that point on, Dubai, a newly independent emirate was constantly at odds with the emirate of Abu Dhabi. An attempt by the Qawasim to take over Dubai was thwarted. In 1835, Dubai and the rest of the Trucial States signed a maritime truce with Britain and a "Perpetual Maritime Truce" about two decades later. Dubai came under the protection of the United Kingdom (keeping out the Ottoman Turks) by the Exclusive Agreement of 1892. Like four of its neighbors, Abu Dhabi, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Qaiwain, its position on the route to India made it an important location.
In March 1892, the Trucial States (or Trucial Oman) were created.
The rulers of Dubai fostered trade and commerce, unlike the town's neighbors. The town of Dubai was an important port of call for foreign tradesmen (chiefly
Indians), who settled in the town. Until the 1930s, the town was known for its pearl exports.
After the
devaluation of the Gulf Rupee in 1966, Dubai joined the newly independent state of Qatar to set up a new monetary unit, the Qatar/Dubai riyal. Oil was discovered 120 kilometers off the coast of Dubai, after which the town granted oil concessions.
On
2 December 1971 Dubai, together with Abu Dhabi and five other emirates, formed the United Arab Emirates after former protector Britain left the Persian Gulf in 1971. In 1973, Dubai joined the other emirates to adopt a single, uniform currency: the UAE dirham.
The following is a list of rulers of Dubai, Al Abu Falasa
dynasty , going back at least to 1833.

Dubia International Airport

The International Airports Organization (IAO) statistics revealed Dubai’s iconic international airport recording a 20 per cent growth in the number of flights and passengers in the first six months of 2006 compared to the corresponding period last year, the second-highest in the world. The airport also accounted for 30 per cent of the 70 million passengers that used Middle East airports. The Dubai Government expects the airport to handle at least 30 million passengers by 2010, up from the 24.5 million passengers in 2005. Flight movements in the first half of 2006 increased by 11.4 per cent over the same period last year, from 94,795 to 106,546 take-offs and landings. The Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) authorities says Dubai International Airport would be capable of handling 70 million passengers when the current $4.1 billion expansion involving the construction of Concourse 2 and 3, along with the new underground Terminal 3 is complete. In addition, another AED30 billion is being invested in the development of Jebel Ali Airport City over an area of 140 square kilometers. Dubai airport offers connections to 165 destinations and is used by 111 airlines. This year, passenger traffic will rise to 30 million and aircraft movements will increase to 240,000 from 217000. Dubai International Airport, currently used by 113 airlines for 165 connections around the world, will overtake Heathrow Airport in passenger traffic by 2011 at the current growth rate.

Rare Prehistoric Shark Found In Japan

This prehistoric shark is rarely seen alive as its natural habitat lies up to 1,280 metres (4,200 feet) deep under the sea. Experts at the Awashima Marine Park were able to examine the creature, which was a female, and film it swimming around.Unfortunately though it died a couple of hours after it was moved to its new environment. The eel-looking shark, with its mouth full of 300 trident-shaped teeth, measured 5.3 feet-long and weighed 16.5 pounds. Frilled sharks normally inhabit deep sea waters between 400 and 4,200 feet and rarely come to the surface. However they have been seen near the coast of Japan before, especially during the winter time when the water temperature drops and they have to get to warmer areas to feed. Frilled sharks can grow to a length of nearly 6.5 feet and eat deep-sea squids and other soft-bodied preys. Most specimen are found in the Japanese waters.

"Here this is video songs for you"

SHAKIRA - Ojos Asi

Shakira FIFA world cup 2006
Shakira Mebarak was born February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia, into a poor family. Her mother was a native Colombian and her father was of Lebanese descent, and so as a child Shakira soaked up music from both cultures; she also listened heavily to English-language rock & roll, listing her favorite bands in later interviews as Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Police, the Cure, and Nirvana. Shakira wrote her first song at age eight, began entering (and winning) talent competitions at age ten, and started learning the guitar at age 11; one story runs that around this age, she was kicked out of her school choir for singing too forcefully. In 1990, at age 13, Shakira moved to Bogotб in hopes of pursuing a modeling career, but wound up signing a record deal with Sony's Colombian division instead. Her 1991 debut album, Magia (Magic), was comprised of songs she'd written over the past five or six years, including some of her earliest efforts. Although it didn't break internationally, the record started to make a name for her in her home country. Dissatisfied with the pop inclinations of the follow-up, 1993's Peligro (Danger), Shakira changed direction for a time, joining the cast of the Colombian soap opera El Oasis in 1994.When Shakira returned to recording in 1995, she asserted more control over the direction of her music, and worked more rock & roll rhythms -- as well as occasional Arabic tinges -- into her Latin pop material. The first results were Pies Descalzos (Bare Feet), which was initially released in 1995; a slow seller at first, the album gradually caught on thanks to the rock-tinged single "Estoy Aqui," which became a hit all over Latin America, as well as Spain. After that breakthrough, Pies Descalzos just kept spinning off singles: "Dуnde Estбs Corazуn?," "Antologнa," "Pienso en Ti," "Un Poco de Amor," "Se Quiere, Se Mata." The album hit number one in eight different countries and eventually went platinum in the U.S. as well; Shakira toured for nearly two years promoting it (she finally left El Oasis in 1997).Seeking to build on her success, Shakira signed Emilio Estefan -- Gloria's husband and a highly successful music-biz insider -- as her manager and producer. The move paid off when her follow-up album, 1998's Dуnde Estбn los Ladrones? (Where Are the Thieves?), became an even bigger worldwide hit than its predecessor. What was more, it cracked the lucrative U.S. market wide open, spending 11 weeks at number one on Billboard's Latin album chart and producing two U.S. number ones (on the Latin chart) with "Ciega, Sordomuda" and "Tu." The album's signature track, however, was the worldwide hit "Ojos Asн," her most explicit nod yet to the Arabic music she'd picked up from her father (not to mention its latent belly-dancing connotations). Dуnde Estбn los Ladrones? was also the most effective presentation yet of Shakira's strong-willed persona; her self-analysis made her even more popular among female fans, while her anger over love gone wrong drew comparisons to Alanis Morissette. When Gloria Estefan offered to translate "Ojos Asн" into English, the prospect of a crossover suddenly seemed tangible, and Shakira decided that the most effective way to maintain control over her material was to learn English well enough to write in it herself. In the meantime, she set the stage for her crossover bid with a performance on MTV Unplugged; the channel's first Spanish-language broadcast. MTV Unplugged was released as an album in early 2000, and topped the Latin charts for two weeks on its way to becoming her third straight platinum album; it also won a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album. At the inaugural Latin Grammy Awards ceremony in 2000, Shakira delivered a much-discussed, show-stopping performance of "Ojos Asн," and took home Unplugged-related trophies for Best Female Pop Vocal ("Ojos Asн") and Best Female Rock Vocal ("Octavo Dia").Mainstream pop stardom beckoned. Shakira dyed her long brown hair blonde, romanced Antonio de la Rua (son of the former president of Argentina), and went to work on her first (mostly) English-language album, Laundry Service. The single/video "Whenever, Wherever" was released in advance of the album in late 2001, and made her a star in the English-speaking world almost overnight. Laundry Service entered the American pop charts at number three, and "Whenever, Wherever" climbed into the Top Ten of the singles chart, peaking at number six. The follow-up "Underneath Your Clothes" also hit the Top Ten, halting at number nine; less than a year after its release, Laundry Service had gone triple platinum. Reviews of Laundry Service were divided as to the effectiveness of Shakira's English lyrics, but nearly all agreed on her unique poetic imagery.

The very first thing you notice about Indian actress Udita Goswami is her stunningly beautiful looks, which make it no surprise when you find out she was a model (for companies including Pepsi, Nokia, Star Movies and Titan Watches) before becoming a top Bollywood star.
Her movie career didn't get off to a very good start, with her first film, the Pooja Bhatt directed Paap, flopping commercially in 2003. Unphased by the set-back Udita persisted with her acting career.
"I didn't want to make a debut in a film seeing which the audience would say, 'Oh, just another model, who's come and gone.' I needed people to sit up and take notice of me," she said about her role in the unsuccessful movie Paap.
Fortunately, her next role in 2005's low-budget Zeher was successful and became her breakthrough role. The film's success was probably due, in no small part, to the controversial its sparked with its explicit scenes – with many people saying Udita showed too much skin in the movie.
Udita has spoken about the movie, saying: “Zeher is about a man (Hashmi) stuck in a bad marriage (with Shetty), and looking elsewhere for emotional support. That's when I enter his life.
“My character, Anna Varghese, is also stuck in a bad marriage as her husband beats and abuses her. She is also suffering from cancer. Though her husband knows that, he doesn't care about her.
“Emraan and I fall in love, and what happens next is what the film is about.”
The film established Undita as a sex symbol and lead her to become a well-known face in the industry.
Udita's latest movies are: Aksar, A sexy and scandalous suspense thriller, and Amar Joshi Shahid Ho Gaya. She is currently filming Kisse Pyaar Karoon.
With an army of male fans, Udita's acting career will almost certainly soar even higher in the future.

Pets

~Quotation~
"Animals have these advantages over man: they never hear the clock strike, they die without any idea of death, they have no theologians to instruct them, their last moments are not disturbed by unwelcome and unpleasant ceremonies, their funerals cost them nothing, and no one starts lawsuits over their wills." ~Andy Reyn~
"Near this spot are deposited the remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of Man, without his Vices. This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery if inscribed over human ashes, is but a just tribute to the Memory of Boatswain, a Dog." ~Lord Byron ~
We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words. ~Anna Sewell~ (1820 - 1878)
Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms. ~George Eliot~ (1819 - 1880)

Facts : Bill Gates

1. Bill Gates earns US$250 every SECOND, that's about US$20 Million a DAY and US$7.8 Billion a YEAR!

2. If he drops a thousand dollar, he won't even bother to pick it up bcoz the 4 seconds he picks it, he would've already earned it back.

3. The US national debt is about 5.62 trillion, if Bill Gates were to pay the debt by himself; he will finish it in less then 10 years.

4. He can donate US$15 to everyone on earth but still be left with US$5 Million for his pocket money.

5. Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in US. If he doesn't drink and eat, and keeps up his annual income i.e. US$30 Million, he'll have to wait for 277 years to become as rich as Bill Gates is now.

6. If Bill Gates was a country, he would be the 37th richest country on earth.

7. If you change all of Bill Gate's money to US$1 notes, you can make a road from earth to moon, 14 times back and forth. But you have to make that road non-stop for 1,400 years, and use a total of 713 BOEING 747 planes to transport all the money.

8. Bill Gates is 40 this year. If we assume that he will live for another 35 years, he has to spend US$6.78 Million per day to finish all his money before he can go to heaven.

Last but not the least:
If Microsoft Windows' users can claim US$1 for every time their computers hang because of Microsoft Windows, Bill Gates will be bankrupt in 3 years!!!!!!! !!!!

Top 10 Most Expensive Mobile Phone

Until recently, the vast majority of mobile phones had been priced between £100 and £300, with only Vertu, a division of Nokia , manufacturing uber-premium phones. With prices starting at around £4,000 Vertu phones are only for the filthy rich, and the super famous.
However, Vertu's monopoly of the luxury phone market is coming to an end with the launch of several new luxury mobile makers, including Gresso, Mobiado and GoldVish. Other mobile phone manufacturers are also partnering with luxury brands to produce a range of premium mobile phones, such as LG and Prada , D&G and Motorola, and now Tag Heuer and Modelabs. Finally, there are the ridiculous, super-expensive one-offs, made purely for headline grabbing, such as Goldvish's "Le million", worth a cool $1,000,000, see below for details!
1. Goldvish "Le million"
= $1,000,000 (£540,540)

A PR stunt it may be, and they surely can't be expecting to sell any, but the Goldvish "Le million" is officially the most expensive mobile phone in the world, according the Guiness Books of Records. There's even been talk of a $1.3million phone, but this has fewer diamonds than the Goldvish so I can't see where the extra expense comes from! The "Le million" is a one off, featuring a blinding 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds, according to designer Emmanuel Gueit. If $1 million is out of your price range. the Geneva-based Goldvish also offer several other diamond-encrusted 18k gold models in your choice of rose, yellow, or white, starting at a much more reasonable $25,600 (£13,837).
2. Vertu Signature Cobra
= $310,000 (£167,567)

Vertu is now taking orders for the Signature Cobra, designed by French jeweler Boucheron, but you had better be quick as only 8 are being made! The Cobra will feature one pear-cut diamond, one round white diamond, two emerald eyes and 439 rubies. Vertu will also be offering a "cheaper" version, ruby free, at $115,000 (£62,162).
3. Sony Ericsson Black Diamond
= $300,000 (£162,162)

Apparently the Black Diamond will be available in 2007, not from Sony Ericsson but by a company called VIPN. Initially only 5 unique numered pieces will be available for the unbelievable price of, wait for it… $300,000. With regards to the specifications, don't expect anything remarkable for your money. It will have Quad-band with Wi-Fi, an Intel 400Mhz processor running windows mobile 5, and a touch sensitive 2? screen. It will also include internal memory of 128mb and will come with a 2Gb SD card for external storage, plus a respectable 4 Megapixel camera. The designer Jaren Goh has used some pretty impressive materials for the build, featuring titane with polycarbonate, mirror-finish cladding and diamonds.

4. Vertu Diamond
= $88,000 (£47,567)
The Diamond is Vertu's premium range of high-end mobile phones. As the name suggests the handsets in the Diamond range are diamond-encrusted handsets made from platinum. Only 200 of the handsets are being produced, the most expensive believed to be worth an estimated £50,000.
5. Motorola V220 Special Edition
= £28,000 ($51,800)
Austrian designer Peter Aloisson, has taken a standard Motorola, studded it with 1,200 diamonds and added a keyboard inlaid with 18 carat gold. The outcome is a £28,000 handset, suitable only for footballers and film stars!

6. Gold Edition Nokia 8800 Phone
= $2,700 (£1,459)
If you have $2,700 to spare, you can now buy the Nokia 8800 in 24K gold. However, be warned, if you think you'll be getting a better phone for your extra cash, you wont! The features found on the Gold Edition are the standard 8800 features, which are pretty basic. It includes a 0.5 Mega pixel SVGA camera, 64 MB of internal memory, 64 voice polyphonic rigntones, FM Radio, Mp3 Player, video recording and 180 mins talktime. However, the Gold Edition does includes a special edition box and charging dock!
7. Mobiado Professional EM (wood)
= $1,900 (£1,027)
The Mobiado Professional EM, is a wood-clad upgrade of their earlier Nokia-based phone that includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Bluetooth, and according to Mobiado it's the first production phone with Titanium buttons. Only 200 are being made and each one has its limited number engraved on the back. At $1,900 however, you're still paying an awfully high premium for a fairly basic phone encased in wood!
8. Bang & Olufsen (Samsung) Serene
= $1,250 (£675)

Bang & Olufsen hooked up with Samsung to design the sleek but unconventional Serene. Its not a bad looking phone and it even has a built-in motor to assist you in opening and closing the phone. It's not very practical however, requiring a special screwdriver to access the battery and the SIM card, and its circular keypad will take some getting used to. Also, for some strange reason they have positioned the camera lens on the side of the device, which will make it difficult to align snapshots via the viewfinder on the display.

9. Lamborghini 8800 Sirocco from Nokia
= $To be announced
The Lamborghini Nokia 8800 Sirocco is another special edition, like the previously launch Aston Martin branded Sirocco. It will ultimately be a standard 8800 Sirocco but with the addition of the famous Lamborghini logo engraved on the font and the back, plus ball bearings from the auto company to in the slider phone mechanism. The Lamborghini phone will be a limited edition with only 500 being made. It will also feature Lamborghini graphics as wallpapers, screensavers, ringtones, and even has a short documentary video about the Lamborghini

10. Gresso Luxury Phone
= £expensive
The Russia based Gresso, is a new entry into the luxury phone market. Their aptly name "Gresso Luxury Phone" is made of gold and African Blackwood. Apparently they will be releasing a collection of five models called the Black Aura collection, and the designer is a "well known" Italian designer. Currently there are two versions of the African Blackwood phone, one with pink gold highlights named the Gresso Blackwood Gold Edition, and one made entirely of African Blackwood. In addition to the two African Blackwood phones Gresso also make a phone made entirely of pink gold named the Gresso Gold phone. Initially, the phones will be on sale only in Russia.

Decorated trucks

Here are 7 pictures of (European) semi-trucks whose trailers are decorated to look like the sides are missing and the products they are hauling are painted on the sides and back.

The first one is of a bottle of beer and looks so real, like it is coming out the side of the trailer.

The second is of canvas tote bag.

The third is of Pepsi cases and they are all stacked on the ceiling, and the bottom of the trailer is empty.

The fourth is of another truck with the windshield facing the back and there has been a driver painted in the driver's seat looking back over his shoulder to appear like he is driving backwards.

The fifth one is of an aquarium with fish swimming in it.

The sixth one is of a bookshelf with books lined up in it and a post-it-note with an advertisement on it, probably for the company that sells the books (Again, in a foreign language)

The last one is for Pringles-Hot & Spicy. The "inside" of the trailer has the appearance of having been through a fire.

Fastest Cars

Get behind the wheel of a supercar and you'll have to redefine your idea of a fast car. On top of the fastest car class of 2006 is the 2006 Bugatti Veyron - an extreme machine with a top speed of more than 250 MPH which we have featured in March. Here is a list of the other nine fastest cars based on the quickest acceleration time.
Most of the vehicles on this list achieve these out-of-the-world speeds through a marvellous combination of high engine power and low vehicle weight. Some heavy vehicles, such as the 4,299-pound Veyron, still maintain a high power-to-weight ratio due to their massive engine output - the Bugatti supercar's 8.0-litre W16 produces 1,001 HP, which works out to 4.3 lb/HP.
All of the vehicles mentioned here can vroom from stationary to 60 MPH in four seconds, or less.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4

Rank: 1
0-to-60 MPH/0-to-100 kmh acceleration time: 2.5 seconds
Power-to-weight ratio: 4.3 lb/HP
Engine specs: 8.0-litre W16; 1,001 HP

Price: $1,357,000
The Veyron 16.4 could knock the leaves off of trees as it powers to top speeds faster than any other street-legal production car in the world. This is the most powerful and fastest car period. And it boasts of the maximum horsepower to prove it.
Just for perspective, this carbon-fiber- bodied, aerodynamic machine has about twice the power that of a Chevrolet Corvette Z06, or a Dodge Viper SRT 10. With a computer-controlled , seven-speed direct shift gearbox, sequential-manual transmission power is propelled into all four wheels. Because the 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was not adjusted by an aftermarket tuner, it is the first street-legal vehicle to come directly from the factory.
When the Veyron 16.4 reaches a speed higher than 137 MPH, hydraulics will lower the car to a minimal 3.5 inches above the road and a rear wing will deploy. Both the wing and the hydraulics are essential in order to generate enough aerodynamic down-force to keep the car from flying away at such extreme speed.

Saleen S7

Rank: 2
0-to-60 MPH acceleration time: 2.8 seconds
Power-to-weight ratio: 3.9 lb/HP
Engine specs: 7.0-litre V8; 750 HP

MSRP: $585,000
Barely missing the No. 1 spot by 0.3 seconds, the S7 is still a muscular cheetah on wheels. This hand-built supercar can even drive upside down! It will not only turn heads, but it will ruffle hair as the S7's turbocharged 750-HP engine roars to life. After receiving a 200-HP power boost in 2005, this lightweight sportscar can now outrace close competitors like the 2007 Lamborghini Murci?lago LP640.
The thunderous S7 is a two-seat, sans-airbags missile. It is race-inspired with a cockpit-like interior, allowing for snug sport seats that feel a bit cramped. The S7 is equipped with features such as a DVD player and a rearview video monitor to compensate for the lack of a large rear window.

Ford GT

Rank: 3
0-to-60 MPH acceleration time: 3.3 seconds
Power-to-weight ratio: 6.3 lb/HP
Engine specs: 5.4-litre V8; 550 HP

Price: $149,995
The Ford GT is an intimidating beast with an incredible acceleration time and a vintage racing look that is still completely modern. This vehicle marks the 40th anniversary of the original Ford GT race car beating the world's best in endurance racing at Le Mans in 1966.
The 2006 version is a unique reinterpretation of the original. A special Limited Edition exterior colour, Tungsten Grey, is offered to commemorate the 1966 victory. Similar to the 2005 Ford GT, the 2006 version boasts a 550-HP V8 engine, yet it shaved 0.4 seconds off its acceleration time. This car may be intended for the road, but it has race-like qualities, not unlike the original.
The GT will cease production in September this year and will soon be replaced by the Shelby GT500. This ultra-high-performa nce sports car is built on an aluminum space-frame chassis with super-plastic- formed aluminum body panels. The supercharged V8 engine produces 550 pound-feet of torque and the six-speed manual transmission delivers power to the rear wheels.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Rank: 4
0-to-60 MPH acceleration time: 3.4 seconds
Power-to-weight ratio: 5.7 lb/HP
Engine specs: 6.5-litre V12; 640 HP
Price: $350,000
Set to make an entry in India through Exclusive Motors, this sleek, mean machine - named after the fighting bull - is the newest evolution of the Lamborghini Murcielago, replacing last year's coupe. The massive V12 engine located behind the cockpit blasts this bull to 62 MPH in 3.4 seconds. This powerful beast looks like a futuristic version of the 2006, with a large spoiler underneath the aggressive front bumper and a redesigned rear diffuser.
This Italian supercar has a permanent all-wheel-drive system with electronic traction control. The LP640 has a six-speed manual transmission along with an electronically controlled adaptive suspension.
With the signature steel scissor doors, the LP640 also brags striking carbon-fiber body panels and a steel roof that is lined with quilted leather upholstery, as are the door inserts and seats.

Porsche 911 Turbo

Rank: 5
0-to-60 MPH acceleration time: 3.4 seconds
Power-to-weight ratio: 7.3 lb/HP
Engine specs: 3.6-litre boxer-six; 480 HP

Price: $122,990
The new 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo is quick, but you have to add the optional Tiptronic S five-speed automatic transmission to make the car race to 60 MPH in 3.4 seconds. The 2007 model has a few style updates on the front and rear that make this sporty racer almost futuristic.
This sixth generation of the 911 models, the 2007 911 Turbo, has a new electronically controlled multidisc clutch, the standard six-speed manual transmission or the optional five-speed automatic transmission as well as an optional ceramic-composite brake system.
The 911 Turbo's 3.6-litre boxer-six engine produces 480 HP, which is 60 HP more than its predecessor, raising the output to an all-time high of 133 HP per litre. This engine's torque curve is even more impressive with peak torque rising to 457 pound-feet and spanning a range from 1,900 to 5,000 RPM.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Rank: 6
0-to-60 MPH acceleration time: 3.7 seconds

With a top speed of 205 MPH, the six-speed manual transmission produces 620 HP. An all-aluminum construction technology encompasses the body and the chassis of the GTB.
This pure sports car is built similar to the 575M that it is replacing and is aerodynamic to reach extreme performance levels and can rocket from zero to 60 MPH in 3.7 seconds. The exterior looks aggressive and elegant at the same time, making this Ferrari an exquisite vehicle

The Z06 resembles the C6-R race car and is a "fastback" with a rear hatch, which makes it more aerodynamic, like a racing car.
The Z06's hand-built LS7 aluminum-block V8 engine contains racing-derived components such as an eight-quart dry-sump lubrication system and titanium connecting rods. This affordable muscle car also has a six-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes. This year's McLaren has wings that fly it to a top speed of 200 MPH. With only 500 of these vehicles hand-built each year, they sell out very quickly. The 722 is an homage by Mercedes-Benz to the memorable victory won by British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Dennis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR at the Mille Miglia in 1955.
The SLR McLaren comes with a supercharged 5.5-litre V8 engine, dry-sump lubrication, carbon-fiber reinforced, lightweight ceramic brakes and a body shell and chassis that are fully made of high-strength carbon fiber, normally used only in racing cars. This Formula One-inspired racer has an arrow-shaped nose and a twin-fin front spoiler.

Although the current-generation models are much improved in terms of ride and handling from the roadster that debuted in 1992, the Viper is still a lot to handle - especially at high speeds.Fortunately, the car's massive brake rotors (14 inches in diameter) with anti-lock capability do their part to scrub speed and add a measure of safety.

Ferrari F430 Spider

0-to-60 MPH acceleration time: 4.0 seconds
Power-to-weight ratio: 6.8 lb/HP
Engine specs: 4.3-litre V8; 490 HP

Price: $187,927
This exotic head-turner had a two-year-long waitlist before the first model arrived in the US in summer of 2005.One look at this luscious piece of art on wheels reveals why. The low-slung F430 convertible' s body was designed to be more curvaceous and aerodynamic than the 360 model that it replaced.
The F430 Spider comes with a metal-gated six-speed manual transmission; however, you can purchase the optional F1 transmission for an extra $10,740. This sequential-manual gearbox acts like a manual transmission, but doesn't require a clutch pedal or stick shift in order to change gears. The F430 makes an appearance in the film Miami Vice.

Christmas Island

"Christmas Island rainforest"

Red crabs begin their march from the forest to the sea, where they will reproduce. During the migration, the island's human inhabitants just have to adapt. There are around 120 million crabs on the march The crabs navigate the same pathways year after year For the islanders, encounters with crabs during the migration are just part of island life. Most of the time we just work around the crabs and take them for granted Red crabs are scavengers After two weeks of marching, the first wave of crabs reaches the ocean. The weary travellers dip in the ocean to replace body fluids and salts. The weary travellers dip in the ocean to replace body fluids and salts. Aerial view of Christmas Island. Nokia 6639

This fake hit the scene about a month ago but I feel our viewers need more insight if it were real. Lets suppose it’s real and proceed. If I can get my hands on one, it will be my next phone; the Nokia 6639. I love Nokia and I can’t say enough about their phones. The phone is not viewable on Nokia’s website so the information is limited but there’s one thing I’m not concerned about when it comes to Nokia; features. The Nokia 6639 is a Swiss army knife, a Zippo lighter, a double mega pixel digital SLR camera and it has Photoshop. When I learned of this I almost did a backflip. The phone has a 1024 X 768 pixel screen and it also features a Pentium M-Dothan binuclear 2.0GHMz with dual channel 512MDDR2 memory with expandable features. Need I say more? The phone will support every video and audio format available to mankind and will display 16 million colors on the TFT screen. Obviously, this phone is made for the paparazzi because you can attach a huge SLR lens to the back-end and use the built-in email client to mail it to sources; thus a profit and you can buy another one.

The camera’s exposure can be set to a variety of modes and you can change the aperture priority, shutter priority, and more. It also features a Swiss yataghan Plug procedures remote control (with the public wireless transmission protocol), thermometer, needle guide, LED beam, and additional features for those who enjoy the outdoors. The phone will also feature wifi for connectivity to access points. This feature is a huge priority to people willing to spend hundreds of dollars. For such a phone I’m sure it will be powered by the dominant Symbian Operating System and the navigation will be the same. Who wouldn’t buy this stellar piece of God-send technology if they had the money?

Benefits Of Fruits

Fruit is one of the most healthy and natural foods in existence. There are thousands of different types of fruit available to eat, all of which provide us with strong health benefits. Fruit contains a large number of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and plant phytochemicals that help benefit health. It has also been shown that eating the whole fruit or juice is best to gain the benefits rather than taking supplements to provide each nutrient separately.
It has been recommended that we should be eating at least 5 pieces of fruit every day in order to gain theFull health benefits of eating FRUIT
Fruit can also benefit many people wanting to lose weight. Energy consumption is thought to be mainly influenced by the palatability, fiber content, density of energy and the variety of foods. Eating fruit has the benefit of affecting some these factors. Fruit is also low in sodium so they help reduce the chance of gaining water weight.
Providing you are eating about one-third of the diet as fruits & vegetables, you should notice rapid weight loss because the ample fruit consumption helps fill the stomach faster encouraging less high calorie foods to be consumed. The total calorie consumption will automatically reduce even if we are eating plenty of fruit and vegetables. There is such a variety of fruits available that many can be freely eaten without consuming too many calories thereby controlling weight more effectively.
Overweight and at risk for stroke? Fruit and vegetables may be what you need say researchers. In a recent study researchers say they found antioxidants in fruits and vegetables which may reduce the risk of ischemic strokes, the most common type of stroke caused when blood clots cut off oxygen supply to the brain. Carotenoids are the antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables. For the study researchers measured the levels in blood samples of nearly 22,000 men. The results showed patients who had higher carotenoid levels were at a 40-percent lower risk of having a stroke.Based on these findings, researchers suggest a diet high in fruits and vegetables which may reduce stroke risk
Keep it in Balance
Like dieting, exercise should not be taken to an extreme. Studies show that athletes who work out excessively often suffer from an increased number of colds and other respiratory illnesses, and have an increased risk of musculoskeletal injuries. Also, regardless of what sort of exercise program you decide to take on, you need to make sure that you are getting enough calories to keep going. An extreme low-calorie diet combined with a dose of unaccustomed exercise is a prescription for exhaustion. Not many people will keep up with an exercise regime if it feels akin to torture and is making them feel ill.
The Weight Loss Formula
Decide how much weight you would like to lose. Then, keeping in mind that it takes a deficit of approximately 3500 calories to lose one pound, decide how many calories you must both burn through exercise and cut from your diet. A safe guideline is no more than two to two and a half pounds per week. So, if you would like to lose two pounds a week, you will need to cut and burn 7000 more calories than normal. That amounts to 1000 lost calories each day. Instead of crash dieting, or overexercising, simply cut 500 calories from your diet, and add in 500 calories worth of exercise. If you are more than a few pounds overweight, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you can burn 500 calories through exercise. There are exercises that burn fat quickly and efficiently.

Meditation

A knowledge of the roots
Sahaja Yoga is a method of meditation which brings a breakthrough in the evolution of human awareness. It was created by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970 and has since spread all around the world.
In Shri Mataji's own words: "Global unity of mankind can be achieved through this awakening that can occur within each human being, so that transformation takes place within us. By this process a person becomes moral, united, integrated and balanced. One actually gets the experience of the feeling of the all-pervading divine power as cool breeze. "Know thyself" is the main theme of all the scriptures - it becomes evident and one reaches the absolute understanding of oneself.
Thus one becomes peaceful and joyous in life. One becomes collective as a drop falling into the ocean of compassion. This method works for the multitudes and not individually. Of course one cannot pay for the experience of Divine Love. Moreover, it is the last breakthrough of our evolution. This is the actualization of such transformation, which is taking place now, worldwide, and has been proved and experienced by hundreds of thousands in over 85 countries."
The next step in our collective evolution
This inner awakening is called by many names: Self Realization, Second Birth, Enlightenment, Liberation, Moksha, Satori and it is the goal of all religions and spiritual traditions of the world. This knowledge is ancient, but for a long time it was available only to a few souls, being kept secret and transmitted from guru to disciple, since Self Realization was extremely difficult to achieve. In these modern times, through Sahaja ("spontaneous") Yoga ("union with one's Self"), this experience has become effortless and available to everyone, for the first time in the history of human spirituality.
The advent of Sahaja Yoga was prophesized a long time ago in many of the world's spiritual traditions and religions (see the section on Prophecies and Fulfillments). At the same time, in these modern times many seekers of Truth have been deluded into following various false, self-proclaimed "gurus" who are either money or power oriented, but not Spirit oriented (here is a guide on how to recognize them).
Through the practice of Sahaja Yoga, our awareness gains a new dimension where absolute truth can be felt tangibly - on our central nervous system. As a result of this happening, our spiritual ascent takes place effortlessly and physical, mental and emotional balance are achieved as a byproduct of this growth of our awareness.
We then realize that we are not this body, mind, ego, conditionings, emotions or intellect, but something of an eternal nature which is always residing in our heart in a pure, undisturbed state - the Self or Spirit. The Spirit is the source of true knowledge, peace and joy. Self Realization is the actualization of this connection with our Spirit, which as Shri Mataji advocates, is the birthright of every human being.

"It is important for everyone to have that knowledge of the roots within ourselves. Sahaja Yoga allows the individual to become his own Spiritual Guide." -- Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

Tour of Hawaii

(Right Click On Picture 'open new window' To Enlarge)
Travel Hawaii online with these Hawaii pictures and photos from all of the Hawaiian Islands. I hope you visit Hawaii after seeing the beauty of these images. Start your Hawaii vacation with these pictures, details, and maps of Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, and the Island of Hawaii.
Hawaii is an isolated archipelago in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, approximately 2,550 miles southwest of Los Angeles and about 3,900 miles southeast of Tokyo. First settled by Polynesians between A.D. 300 and 600, Hawaii was visited by British captain James Cook in 1778. He named them the Sandwich Islands. Politically Hawaii is part of North America as a U.S. State, but geographically, because of its (isolated location,) it is not considered part of any continent. It's comprised of 8 major islands (Oahu, Hawaii, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, and Niihau) and a series of smaller ones. Hawaii is the world's longest island chain. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, and the United States entered World War II. Today the islands are one of the premier travel destinations in the world, and to quote Mark Twain, "The loveliest fleet of islands that lies anchored in any ocean..."

Hula's, luau's and lei-giving are all a reflection of the celebration of beauty, joy and happiness that's known as the spirit of Aloha. It has spectacular natural beauty, historic sights, world class dining, luxurious accommodations, black sand beaches and warm tropical breezes. Created by volcanic hotspots, the Hawaiian Islands consist of 122 islands and are home to the world's largest dormant volcano.
